Tips for those who want to enter medicine

In the world of medicine, students may face many challenges and difficulties during their academic journey. Here, I share with you a set of tips that I wish I had known when I started my studies, especially for first, second and third year students.

1. Avoid procrastination

One of the things that negatively affects academic performance is procrastination. Avoid postponing studying until exam dates are near, as this leads to feelings of psychological pressure and tension. Make your studies a priority, and do not postpone them except for compelling necessity.

2. Don't compare yourself to others.

Every student is unique in their abilities and skills. Focusing on improving your personal performance without comparing it to others will help you a lot. Work hard and smart to improve your grades according to your potential.

3. Stay away from negative friends.

A negative friend can negatively affect your mental health and academic performance. Try to stay away from people who bring you down, and look for positive friends who support you.

4. Take care of your health

Physical and mental health are very important. Make sure to exercise, eat healthy, and avoid bad habits like smoking. Your good health will directly affect your academic achievement.

5. Don't get distracted by too many references.

At the beginning of your studies, focus on one source of study, such as your doctor’s lectures. Don’t distract yourself by using multiple references, but rather strive to excel in the subjects you study at university.

6. Balance study and life

While medicine is demanding, it is important to find a balance. Make time for your hobbies and socializing, because there is more to life than just studying.

7. Make sure you get good sleep.

Good sleep is essential for health and concentration. Try to get 6 to 8 hours of sleep each night, and avoid using electronic devices before bed to improve the quality of your sleep.

8. Understand before you memorize.

Don't try to memorize information without understanding it. Understanding the material makes it easier to memorize and reduces the chances of forgetting it.

9. Avoid frustration

If you don't succeed in a particular subject, don't get discouraged. Every student faces such challenges. Learn from your experiences and keep working hard.

10. Focus on the basics first.

In medical school, basic information is most important. Focus on deeply understanding this information before delving into the finer details.

a summary

Medical majors require effort and organization. Follow these tips and you will find that your study experience will be smoother. Always remember that success comes with hard work and balance in life. If these tips are useful to you, feel free to share them with your friends.
