Stethoscope parts

The parts of a stethoscope are:

1- Chest Piece :

  • The main part that contains the listening microphones. It can have a dual design (for listening to high and low sounds) or a single design.

2- Tubes :

  • Flexible tubes that connect the vest to the earphones. They help transfer sound from the vest to the ears.

3-Ear Pieces :

  • Parts that fit into the ears. They provide comfort and a good fit, and are usually made of a soft material.

4- Filters (Diaphragm) :

  • The part of the vest that vibrates when picking up sounds. Helps improve sound quality.

5- Bell :

  • Part of the vest used to listen to low-frequency sounds, such as the heartbeat.

6-Switching Mechanism :

  • On some headphones, there is a switch that allows you to switch between using the bell and the filter.

Protective Cover :

  • Protects the internal parts of the speaker from dust and moisture.
